This, That & Happenings
Hello! First off, I want to say Thank You to those of you who participated in the reader survey and left comments. I loved the conversations we had on that post. It was so kind of you to take the time and I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts and results in the near future. In the meantime, here are a few things of note lately:
5 Things I'm Loving Right Now
1. Oh my gosh...IKEA has a brand new Paper Shop! Aren't those honeycomb decorations the cutest? My closest store isn't stocked yet, so I left having a tiny temper tantrum with myself. I also love the black and kraft notebooks and the chunky notepads would be great for a desk. I'm hope they start stocking soon...I want to have a party!
Shop Visit: Tancredi & Morgen
Every summer, Labor Day fast approaches and we try to squeeze in the last drops of summer fun. Usually, we have a barbecue with family and friends, but this year, The Man and I decided to sneak off to Carmel. We stopped in Tancedi & Morgen so I could get my antiquing fix and I was able to take some photos to share with you. Come along with me! You'll see how charming it is...
Recent Finds
I've been on the hunt for furniture and rugs for the new place but haven't had much luck lately. I better get on it, or we're going to move in without a bed, sofa, or dining table, among others. Of course, all is not lost, seems I'm always able to find a little something. I picked up this mortar and pestle while out "poppin tags" with my sister. I loved the pale color and cracks in the bowl. You just can't beat patina.
A Few of My Favorite Pinners
Oh, Pinterest. Before you, I used to tear out a thousand pages from magazines and file them away in heavy binders, not now...you've made life so much simpler. And although I don't pin thousands upon thousands of images, I am able to see my style more clearly defined through my curated boards and pins. Today, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite pinners. The ones I find myself re-pinning from again and again.
Packaging Supplies & Sources
One thing I've been trying diligently to do, is simplify. I've slowly been going through cupboards, closets and drawers to sort through all my stuff. One of my recent projects was tackling all my packaging supplies. I've decided less is more, and have curated my collection down to the few items I use most frequently. The rest will be sold, donated or recycled. It feels like freedom.
