Friday Favorites

As I sat down this morning to write this post, I noticed the weather outside my studio windows looked rather chilly and that the sky was bleak and foggy, it felt a bit eerie. Autumn will always be my favorite season. The whole coziness factor makes it a given. Really though, who could say no to drinking a warm spicy beverage while being bundled up under a blanket with a good book? That’s my idea of a perfect fall afternoon. Here are a few other things that have me excited for the season!

THE PROP SHOP

We just received a new shipment from France and there are so many new items in the shop! With the holidays fast approaching, you’ll find beautiful pieces for serving and entertaining, vintage finds that would make incredible hostess gifts, and French decor that is truly one of a kind!

HANDMADE COASTERS

If you read my last post, you know my affection for hand stitching. I’d really like to create a set of these simple coasters using a heavy weight linen dyed a deep charcoal.

These were created by The Wild Dyer and photographed by Lobster & Swan. I’m inspired!

A FEW RECENT BUYS

  1. Just in time for fall layering. I really love the sleeves on this alpaca sweater, also it’s slightly oversize fit that can be tucked into jeans or worn loose, and how cozy soft it is without being scratchy.

  2. I have several of these blue light filtering readers - they save me from getting headaches from too much screen time.

  3. This gorgeous book arrived and I cannot wait to sit down with a cup of tea and spend time being completely immersed.

  4. I’ve been hearing rave reviews about this patented shampoo and conditioner and decided to buy a gift kit to try it out. My hair could use a little pampering after a summer of messy buns, ponytails, and sun damage.

  5. I think Chelsea boots look really great worn with rolled up denim or jeans that have a raw hem that lands just at the top of the ankle. The best part is these will practically work with my entire fall/winter wardrobe!

  6. I ordered several strands of this zinc leaf garland because it will transition easily from Fall > Thanksgiving > Christmas without looking too “holiday” if you know what I mean. ;)

Cheers to Friday, I hope you have a fantastic weekend! xo, H
