February Favorites

I spent Valentine’s Day flying home from New York after a week long styling gig with Country Living. Upon arrival, I was coming down the escalator, and just like a scene from a movie, my husband was there to greet me with a huge bouquet of roses and a heart shaped balloon. The only problem was…I didn’t even notice him! Can you believe it?! I completely missed my sappy romantic movie moment and he had to follow me to baggage claim in order to “surprise” me. Life is like that sometimes, we're rushing through our day and miss seeing the beauty right before our eyes. Thank goodness, there’s also that age old saying - better late than never.

In the spirit of missed opportunities, I’m aware that February favorite type posts are best done before the holiday, but it just didn’t work out that way on my end. But I’ve decided to forge ahead since my favorites aren’t specifically meant for lovers anyway. haha!

A FEW RECENT FINDS…

I’ve been kicking sugar to the curb but still crave a sweet treat every now and then. This sugar free chocolate almond bark is delicious! Recently, I brought a bag with me on-set and it received a thumbs up from even die hard chocoholics.

Not generally one for fiction, Where the Crawdads Sing captured my attention from the start and I almost don’t want it to end!

I bought this cozy patch pocket sweater in the aptly named color - Heather Rosewater. It’s perfect for chilly So Cal days.

This inexpensive night cream has been saving my dry winter skin. You know it’s good when you’ve gone through an entire jar!

I always carry a rollerball of perfume oil in my bag and just bought two new ones - Lily of the Valley and Arabian Rose. I like that the vials are smaller than most and how their lovely fragrance seems to last throughout the day. I’m definitely going to try other scents.

I’m heading to France in a few weeks and will only be bringing a carry-on. I’m hoping these small packing cubes will help keep everything in order and, as promised, save space. I’ll have to report back. Do you use packing cubes? People swear by them.

LINKS I’M LOVING…

Have you seen this 18th century restored cottage with floor to ceiling glass walls? Goodness, it’s positively gorgeous!

I’m always searching for new, easy dinner ideas and this Stuffed Spaghetti Squash Pesto Lasagna looks like a winner.

The perfect white shirt. Basically, I’m obsessed with everything at & Other Stories. Just look at these winter whites!

I’m sure you’ve heard about Leanne Ford’s amazing new lighting line at Target. I love the large, dramatic over scale pieces.

This beautiful, serene small home, affectionately named Sunday House.

This Designer Spotlight on Thea Home, a mother/daughter interior design duo.

Hope you enjoyed this edition of favorites! And happy belated Valentine’s Day! xo, H
