This past month has been a whirlwind! I spent quite a bit of it traveling and working on some fun projects. I had the opportunity to style the new branding and marketing campaign for all the Mrs. Fields stores and catalog. It’s a pretty good gig to style cookies and treats! I also styled some homes for HGTV and Country Living that will hit newsstands next year. In the meantime, this year’s holiday issue of HGTV has a delightful family cabin I worked on last year. While we were there it was snowy and Christmasy which is always a wonderful surprise for this California girl.
The cabin was tucked away in a serene and gorgeous location and it felt like we were snowed in even though we weren’t. We wrapped presents, hung stockings, decorated mantles and tables…and the homeowner made fresh baked cookies every. single. day. For the entire crew. Who could ask for more?
Their daughter, designer Caitlin Wilson, helped her parents with the interior design during the build and it’s positively beautiful. Gorgeous trim work, beautiful cabinetry and thoughtful design choices throughout.
Styling bunk rooms is always a blast for me. I love how playful and colorful they can be. I made a little Tinkertoy Christmas tree…which fell apart right after we got our shot! You can see it teetering just a bit. I didn’t want to super glue it because everyone on set wanted to keep the Tinkertoys!
There are lots more photos in this months issue of HGTV Magazine including some other great holiday homes… like everyone’s favorite Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper! I know how much their family and show are adored by thousands!
